SAMOS PASS -NORTH EVIA
Samos Pass - North Evia when will be open the platform for the new vouchers applications,
on August 25, the third phase of providing tourism vouchers for the areas of North Evia and Samos affected by natural disasters is expected to begin.
This innovative program of the Ministry of Tourism enables visitors to travel with special vouchers and to support in any way they can North Evia, which was affected by the fires last year, but also in Samos, which was tested by the earthquake of 2020.
Christos Triandopoulos, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, spoke to ERT about the new tourism vouchers (phase 3) that will be available soon as well as about the restoration projects, stressing that there will be no income criteria for the applicants.
“The third phase is an innovative scheme, which has momentum, as whatever is untapped by the intangible digital cards comes in and is added over the coming months. Our goal was to channel people in the months when the activity is not intense, that is July, September, and October", said Mr. Triandopoulos.
No income criteria are required to participate in the North Evia – Samos Pass, with the only condition being that they are not residents of the area.
According to the competent deputy minister, in September another 2,000 unused cards are added in Evia, reaching a total of 9,400 cards, and 4,400 for Samos.
"The North Evia cards correspond to €150 each, which the citizen can use for accommodation, restaurants, and transport. For Samos, the amount is €300 due to the ferry connection," said Mr. Triandopoulos, adding:
“We have more than 13,800 intangible digital cards that will be available on August 25, at a cost of €2.7 million. Essentially, it is an incentive for people to visit these two islands, which have been affected"
Who are the beneficiaries?
