K. Hatzidakis: DYPA is becoming a modern, European service

The following announcement was issued by the Press Office of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs:

The logo of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) is presented yesterday by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in the context of the transformation and modernization of the service.

The new name DYPA symbolizes the restart of the former OAED, which with law 4921/2022 "Jobs Again" acquired new responsibilities and duties. The name chosen follows the name of many similar organizations in European countries.

The logo follows a modern creative approach. In terms of design, the human element prevails, as, under the letter epsilon, which is depicted as a tree, there are two employees. This also schematically reflects the message of protection of employees by the Public Employment Service.

After all, the aim of DYPA is to focus on the person, the unemployed, and the employee, and to aim at creating more training opportunities and employment opportunities.

The color palette of the logo varies. The basic color is blue and varies depending on the categories of actions and service points of DYPA in the fields of Employment, Education, and Social Policy

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, stated: "The new visual identity of DYPA marks the restart of an important, but until the recently cumbersome organization, OAED. With law 4921/2022 "Jobs Again" we transform the organization as a whole and turn it into a flexible Public Service, with human orientation and now synonymous with Employment.

DYPA becomes a modern and European service that understands and facilitates the effort of our fellow citizens to find a job they want. It provides substantial support, new tools, and opportunities, but also upgraded training and certification programs, in skills with high demand in the labor market ".

The governor of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, stated: "The new logo marks the modernization and evolution of OAED into a modern European Public Employment Service (DYPA) that will play an even more crucial role in the labor market, emphasizing employment policies and will be a synonym for employment and skills upgrading, providing more and better services to citizens and businesses. With people at the center of its actions and programs, the goal of DYPA is to support and help the unemployed to find work and companies find the right staff. The world is changing, the labor market is changing and it is our duty to change too, in order to meet the new and ever-changing needs of the economy and to perform our role more effectively. The new logo communicates the reorganization and modernization of an institution that is being improved and strengthened - in terms of responsibilities, resources, and impact on society - as a central pillar of social and economic policy.
