What is a Power Pass?
The Power Pass is a platform for the financial support of electricity bills for household consumers and was published in the Official Gazette Issue B 2827 / 06.06.2022. The subsidy concerns the electricity bills of the first residence or student housing within Greece, issued during the period from 01-12-2021 until 31-05-2022 and, depending on the amount of the bills, an amount up to 600 €.
Am I entitled to a Power Pass?
You are eligible for the Power Pass if:
- you are a tax resident of Greece,
- your net family income after taxes does not exceed € 45,000, based on the declared income for the tax year 2020, and
- The VAT number you enter on the platform has not already been declared as an affiliate member in an application submitted by another person.
Legal entities are NOT beneficiaries of the Power Pass.
Can guests apply?
No, guests do not have the right to apply.
How do I apply?
The application is submitted at vouchers.gov.gr/powerpass.
What is the process?
The operation of the platform is very simple. Analytically:
- You log in to the platform with your codes in Taxisnet and confirm that your details (name, VAT number, year of birth) displayed are correct.
- You choose if you want to apply for yourself or your protected family member.
- The screen shows the details of the main residence per month (address and supply number). These details you can:
- or confirm them,
- or modify them through the Main Residence Declaration platform for Power pass (here), which has been implemented by AADE (more details in the relevant question).

Who can apply for a Power Pass?
The Power Pass application can be submitted by any person who states that a benefit number corresponds to their main residence. Thus, the whole procedure can be done by one / one of the spouses, without the need for a joint or double application from both persons. For declarations concerning the first residence of dependent members (more details in the relevant question), the procedure must be done by the person mentioned as guardian.
The supply number is in the name of another person. What should I do?
If the supply number is stated in your main residence details in Taxisnet, the name to which the supply number is charged in the electricity provider's registers is irrelevant.
What information do I need to complete the process?
You need to have your Taxisnet passwords for authentication when you log in to the platform and the IBAN of the account to which you want the grant to be credited.
Do I need to attach any supporting documents?
No. All data are pumped automatically through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration.
The details of my main residence displayed on the platform do not correspond to reality. What should I do?
In this case, you will need to go here through the Power Pass platform by clicking on the relevant field that appears below the first home details. The details that you will declare in the Main House Declaration platform for the Power pass are registered immediately. So, fill in the correct first home details, you can return to the Power Pass platform and complete your application.
My child is studying in another city. Is it entitled to a separate Power Pass?
Yes, as long as it is registered as a protected member. In this case, you can submit up to three additional applications for protected members by following the steps above each time.
I am submitting a tax for the first time in the tax year 2021. Am I entitled to the Power Pass?
Yes, it is enough to submit your application before applying for the Power Pass. In this case, the net family income after taxes of the tax year 2021 will be taken into account.
When does the platform open and when can I apply?
The platform opened on Friday 17-06-2022 and will remain open until June 30. During the first days of its operation, it will be gradually opened for the beneficiaries, depending on the last digit of their VAT number. The platform will be opened in stages for all beneficiaries, who will be updated with new announcements.
Can I apply to KEP?
At least for the first time, Power Pass applications can only be submitted digitally.
How much will I receive through the Power Pass?
The amount you will receive depends on the number of bills for the period covered by the Power Pass. The amounts of the subsidy will range from 18 € to 600 € and will be calculated at 60% of the amount that will result from deducting from the adjustment clause the account and the amount of any discounts.
Can the same IBAN be used in two different applications?
Yes, it is enough for the one who makes the application each time to be the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of the account.
How will I be informed that/if the application was approved?
You will receive an automated notification in the email account you have declared during your application.
When will the money be credited to my account?
The clearance of applications, the determination of the refund amount, and its payment to the beneficiaries will take place during the first ten days of July.
What do the descriptions of the application stages mean?
- PENDING SUBMISSION: o the user has not clicked "submit application".
- REJECTED: the application has been rejected. If you navigate to the application page you will see more information at the top (eg inability to cross the VAT number as beneficiary/co-beneficiary in the declared IBAN). Rejected applications can be changed and resubmitted.
- UNDER CONTROL: the application has been submitted and is in the process of being checked by the followers.
- - if the TIN is the beneficiary/co-beneficiary of the declared IBAN.
- - if the applicant has not exceeded one (1) application for himself/herself and his / her spouse and has not exceeded three (3) for the protected members.
- UNDER CLEARANCE: for the applications that are in this situation, the checks for the IBAN / AFM have been completed, and no additional actions are required from the citizen. After the completion of the Application Period (July 1, 2022) the cross-checks with the account details provided by the providers will be performed, in order to clear the account and calculate the amount of the grant.
- TO SHIPPING TO THE BANKING INSTITUTION: the refund amount (for payment, via DIAS) will be sent to the selected Financial Institution.
- FOR PROCESSING BY A BANKING INSTITUTION: the order for the refund amount has been sent to the selected Financial Institution through DIAS and we are waiting for the bank to make the payment.
- APPROVED: we have received a response from the selected Financial Institution that it has successfully made the payment. The beneficiary can check his / her account.
