The employees of the Municipalities will go on a 24-hour nationwide strike tomorrow, Tuesday 24 May. The Panhellenic Federation of Employees of Local Government Organizations (WTO-OTA) in an announcement invites employees in municipalities to take part in the gathering, at 10:00, outside the offices of the Federation.
According to the relevant announcement, a protest march will follow to the Ministry of Interior and to the offices of the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE).
The main demand of tomorrow's mobilization, as stated in the announcement, is:
"The permanence of all employees who work with recurring contracts in the municipalities (COVID-19 employees, NSRF employees employed in municipal kindergartens, KDAP, KDAP-MEA, social structures," Help at Home "employees who were left out of work, cleaners, employees who are constantly employed in court orders and in the Sports programs for All, etc.), but also the immediate lifting of the ban on hiring permanent staff "so that the municipalities can fill the huge gaps they face in human resources
